The e:cue butler is the well known and powerful yet compact-sized DMX output device. As a network enabled DMX output device, the butler and integrated replay unit can output 2 DMX lines (1024 channels). The device can be controlled using the e:cue lighting or video application suites. For show upload the ‘elements’ edition of the application suite is required. As a replay unit, the butler can replay light control programs from any kind of show using an internal, re-writeable SD card. For the support of more than 1024 DMX channels a large number of butler units can be clustered. The device also features automatic synchronization without the assistance of a central controller (up to 65,536 DMX channels/ 128 universes). The IR receiver is able to execute cue lists remotely. DMX universes can be freely assigned via Soft Patch; this feature enables individual DMX universe output to separate fixture installations in any fashion desired.

Control up to 1024 DMX channels - One small yet powerful Butler can control up to 1024 DMX channels (individual control of 1024 monochromatic light nodes or 340 RGB color mixing nodes).

Easily upload lighting show files via Ethernet - With an Ethernet connection users can easily upload the lighting show file created using e:cue’s software suite.

Scalable up to 65,536 channels - Lighting projects demanding greater amounts of control channels are easily controlled by several Butlers, making them very scalable for further enlargement of existing installations.

Remote Control via IR receiver - The IR Remote Control can be used to switchfrom one lighting sequence to another (99 lighting sequences in standalone mode).
